Anita has a background in Architecture, Law, Project Management and Commercial Asset Management. During her time as Head of Commercial Property she reformed the commercial property division of one of Auckland’s largest property management firms. She studied Architecture and Law at The University of Auckland and is an Enrolled Barrister and Solicitor. She is excellent in providing a strategic path for complex issues and is focused on getting things done right the first time. She established Vanguard bringing together a group of consultants who all have a united goal, which is to serve the commercial property industry with a higher standard of excellence.

Legal strategy and remediating commercial buildings with complex structural or weathertightness issues are her main areas of interest.  Mitigating risks in any venture and strategically resolving disputes for her clients best interest is what motivates her.

Thanks to her Architectural background, she’s able to understand modernist building design like Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier or the many tropical modernist designs of Minnette de Silva. A strong affinity with concrete buildings and their construction allows her to identify solutions to complex weathertightness problems, some of which prior to her consulting had failed to be resolved for over twenty years.

Charles is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) who holds the required licensing to carry out restricted building work. He is also a graduate of The University of Auckland, with a Bachelor of Business and Information Management. Specialising in projects with sensitive timelines and budget implications, he is an exceptional asset for difficult and complex projects requiring out of the box or remediation solutions. Once solutions are considered he will be sure to execute the required work to the highest standard. He is also competent mechanically with strong metal fabrication skills from his interest in vehicle modification and restoration.

CHARLES PETER SENEVIRATNE

FINANCE MANAGER

Charles holds a Fellowship at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, along with a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of the United Kingdom. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Waikato. Negotiating funds with banks and with other stakeholders is where Charles excels. He has a robust background in financial consulting in areas involving fast-moving consumer goods, education, retirement, religion, and engineering. He has worked with Woolworths, Foodstuffs, Coles Supermarkets (AUS), Anglican Diocese Auckland and also Ngāti Whātua-o-Ōrākei. His skill and experience is diverse and capable. In his management accounting practice, he likes to focus on business process management. His goal is always to provide cost reduction with improved quality of delivery. He has an exclusive Australasian partnership with John Keels Group, one of the largest conglomerates in South Asia. The group services John Keels supermarkets, Heritage luxury hotel properties and a variety of businesses.
